On Trickster's Realm: An Oregon Abduction

My latest for Trickster's Realm on Tim Binnall's BOA: An Oregon Abduction about a woman I met years ago at a local UFO workshop, and her incredible story in the Gold HIll, Oregon area.

On L.O.W.F.I., I have a new post on the Oregon page about some weird 'New World Order' signs around town: Return to Conspiracy Park.

For my Trickster's Realm column for Binnall of America, I write about UFOs in TV sit-coms: UFOs in TV : Backwards in Time
from Mr. Monk to Barney Miller

My on-going hassle with chronic ear and eye infections, attributed to MRSA, then "MSSA" which is something new, in Enter the Contradictory World of "Baby MRSA"

I'm working on a "high strangeness Bigfoot" bibliography, which I'll make available as a PDF e-book on Lulu.com. More to come on that.

A bit of ranting about Monster Quest on Frame 352. as well as an article by Chris Holly about a pretty strange and spooky encounter with Bigfoot like beings. Are were they?

Blessings,
Regan

P.S. If you do not with to receive these updates please email me at rlee@orangeorb.net.

On Paranormal Women's League Tonight

I'll be on the Paranormal Women's League podcast this evening, 5:00 p.m. Looking foward to it; I was a guest about a year ago and it was fun, very relaxed. Details here.

The Virgin in Bird Poo, Staged Alien Landings in the Schools

My new Trickster's Realm column is up for Tim Binnall's site: Seeing the Virgin: Tricksters Take it to the People, and I also have a new aritcle at UFO Digest: My Teacher Was Abducted By Aliens: Preparation for Fake Disclosure?

Speaking of the BVM, you can download a free PDF of collected articles by yours truly, and a great article on the image of the Virgin in a tree by richelle hawks.

For June

New posts on Octopus Confessional: we have whale strandings, and a look at the 1950s TV series Sea Hunt.

Rabbit love at my Oregon spot on L.O.W.F.I.

In print: watch for an article on the McMinnville UFO Fest in UFO Magazine.

I've joined Squidoo, where I have pages on Bigfoot, Women and UFOs, and more.
A part of earnings go to Big Cat Rescue, so click away!

Women Of Esoterica highlights the writers, including two new ones, at Binnall of America. Speaking of which, my new Trickster's Realm column discusses signals from animals, and what we're to make of them. Or what I make of them, anyway.

I talk about a "dream" of morphing crabs and UFOs in space on Alien Seeker News.

Vintage U.F.O. has a clip, again from Sea Hunt; this episode has a young Leonard Nimoy. Groovy! Also pics from the McMinnville UFO fest.

Another painting of "The Visitors" on Saucer Sightings.

I recommend the following article by Debra Merskin; beautifull yet very sad, on whale strandings in Oregon. The article appeared in today's Eugene paper, The Register Guard: Song of the whales: Mysterious and disturbing strandings call us to consciousness

Have a healthy and Fortean week!

McMinnville UFO Fest, UFO Hunters, Haunted Hotel . . .

Keep UFO Hunters on the Air!
Lesley, Blog Queen who runs The Debris Field, etc. posted this on my blog Women Of Esoterica, and I'm passing it along. Please sign the petition and keep UFO Hunters on the air!

Bill has just finished filming for Season 3 and I don't know if there will be a Season 4. Maybe you -- plus some pals -- can write to the network and let them know you would like to see more episodes:

or you can sign a petition:

Either way, it can't hurt, and it just might help!

Keeping hope alive!

Thanks!

Speaking of shows like UFO Hunters . . .
I'm going to get on my soap box for a moment.

It's a show. It's TV. It's entertainment, and always, always, victim to the whims of the producers, as well as editing. Hosts like Bill Birnes, etc. do what they can to get some amount of information across to the viewers about UFOs, which is a vast subject, demanding many perspectives and approaches. To criticize shows like these seems silly; for the purpose of shows like these isn't to magically answer the Big UFO Question. The purpose is present some bit of information so that those who might be inspired to go further can begin their own journeys into the phenomena. Ghost Hunters, Paranormal State, UFO Files, etc. aren't supposed to give us anything in depth. They do what they can, bringing their own perspectives to the phenomena they're exploring. I don't care for some of these shows but that's my opinion (for example, Paranormal State, while interesting, and I like Coffey, irritates me) but so what? At least they're presenting some evidence, which is not proof -- it's information.

I appreciate the effort.

Karyn Dolan's Podcast
I was on Karyn Dolan's podcast this past Friday. It was a lot of fun but I was so tired; came home straight from work and tried to make sense for two hours. You can listen to the interview here, as well as many others, including one with Angelina Joiner.

McMinnville, Oregon UFO Festival
It was the 10th year for this festival in McMinnville, which I attended recently. Lots of fun with great speakers: Linda Moultan Howe, Stanton Friedman and Kathleen Marden, the Bales brothers who had an incredible triangle sighting in Idaho, and much more. I was lucky enough to have about half an hour with Stanton Friedman and we discussed his "grey basket" which I'll write about for UFO Magazine.

On the drive back from McMinnville to Eugene, on Highway 99, we saw heavy chemtrial activity, including something new I haven't seen before: two that "bent down" in the same place, and seemed to touch the ground. As I watching these, a third one appeared, bending at the same place! I wish I had the camera out but brilliantly, I had put it in the trunk. You'd think I'd know better!

Here are some pics to enjoy of the UFO Parade; they came out okay but I took them from my third story window of Hotel Oregon, so the perspective is odd. Then again, we're talking about UFOs!

Betty Hill's "The Supervisor"
Inspired by the presentation by Freidman and Marden, I wrote this for UFO Digest: Betty Hill's Supervisor: A Visceral Reaction.

A Haunted Hotel? The Sylvia Beach in Newport, Oregon
In the coastal town of Newport, Oregon, sits the unique Sylvia Beach hotel. I write about the place in my next Trickster's Realm column for Binnall of America, which should be up sometime tomorrow.

Have a great, fun, and safe holiday weekend!

This Friday: On Karyn Dolan's Through the Keyhole

(Karyn Dolan)
I'll be talking with Karyn Dolan on her "Through the Keyhole" podcast this Friday night, 5:00pm PST. I'm looking forward to it! I had a great time visiting with Karyn and Richard at the McMinnville UFO Festival last year (Richard was the main presenter) and it'll be fun to visit with Karyn again. Karyn is also a contributor to Women Of Esoterica.

New article at UFO Digest

New article at UFO Digest: Betty Hill's "The Supervisor": A Visceral Reaction inspired by the excellent presentation from Stanton Friedman and Kathleen Marden, authors of Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience, at the McMinnville UFO Fest in Oregon this past weekend.

Swine Flue Signals, UFO Digest Piece

Greetings fellow Forteans and followers of esoterica,

I have a new article at Dirk Vander Ploeg's UFO Digest: "Like you, you were probably abducted . . ." about shared UFO related experiences.

I've been posting a lot about the Swine Flu, focusing on the response in my area; Lane County, Oregon, on my "conspiracy and crustacean" blog Octopus Confessional. My take on the swine flu and the way it's being presented to us is that it's full of contradictions and interesting juxtapositions, and basically a practice run for something down the line. Meanwhile, "they" (you know, good old them) are successfully sowing fear, confusion and distraction, which seems to be the plan. Along with the swine flu are some interesting things on a local level, like the mysterious illness at the elementary school a few blocks from my home that had over 100 students and 3 staff members out sick on the same day, and a freak weather thing that levitated a teacher (at a different school.)

Lesley of The Debris Field, etc. wrote a good piece for her Grey Matters column on Binnall of America, and I comment on it at Women Of Esoterica.

Less than two weeks until the McMinnville UFO Festival!

Until next Sunday, have a safe and Fortean-filled week!

Bohemian Grove, Mary Visitation. . .

I apologize for the double post! Forgot links . . .

My new Trickster's Realm column will be up sometime Monday on Tim Binnall's site. This week I write about a visitation I had from Mary -- and Kwan Yin -- during a meditation session.

I comment on Octopous Confessional (and re-posted on the Oregon L.O.W.F.I. site) on the excellent Alex Shoumatoff article in the May issue of Vanity Fair about the harvesting of Redwoods in Bohemian Grove. Which inspired me to write this: Spiders and Owls: Women’s Exlcusion from Bohemain Grove

Nick Redfern comments on the more fanatical paranormal bigfoot critics in Burn, Nick Burn! which I post about on Frame 352.

Decided I like the new look of The Orange Orb after all.

Have a safe and Fortean filled week!

Saturday, April 18, 2009

My recent Trickster's Realm column for Binnall of America is about a strange presence felt by many, including myself -- is it animal? Or something else? Also posted on the League of Western Fortean Intermediasts site Oregon L.O.W.F.I.

Strange killings continue . . . which I comment on at my blog Octopus Confessional, as well as the juxtaposition of two television programs, Fringe and Numbers, airing episodes about animal rights activists, and the "Pro-Test" by scientists for animal testing in Animal Testing Themes in TV and the Pro-Test Scene.

You might have noticed I changed colors on the Orange Orb. I can't help myself. Speaking of the Orange Orb, I write about skeptibunkie Shermer. Uber-skeptic Michael Shermer pulls the usual debunker stuff and I comment at Orange Orb in Michael Shermer's Gorilla Suit Man. I also comment on a SWIFT/JREF article about the uber-skeptic's joy of manipulation.

Sad to hear of John A. Keel's health; send him good energy, prayers and thoughts.

Have a happy, safe and Fortean filled week!

Fish Abundance, Random Killings, Eerie Locations and more. . .

On Octopus Confessional this week I report on the Navy's use of sonar and its effects on whales, beached whales in Oregon, fish ladders and tribal agreements with utility districts and dams, local bomb scares, and the "random" killings that seem to just keep coming.

NASA has "rescued" thousands of feet of film of moon images, as I report on The Orange Orb. Other news on the Orb: Leonard Nimoy is joining the cast of my favorite TV show (aside from Torchwood) Fringe.

My new Trickster's Realm column for Tim Binnall's BOA will be up sometime tomorrow. This week is about my friend "Lola" and the intense feeling of foreboding many of us feel in a certain location on her rural property in the Oregon coastal range.

I am working away figuring out all the how tos of podcasting, because, since clearly there aren't enough UFO/paranormal/crypto podcasts around, I just had to go and do my own; it's called Cafe Esoterica. I have no idea what I'm doing so if anyone out there has any advice I'll listen.

While others have commented on the two jokey hoaxers who are now in trouble with the law for their stunt, and commented much better than I could (like Greg Bishop and Kevin Randle) I did put my two cents worth in at Snarly Skepticism: The Skeptoid's Meme: "The Great UFO Hoax."

I'm not sure, but I do believe my next article in the upcoming issue of UFO Magazine will be the one on Fatima predictions of the Marian apparitions (as reported by Joquim Fernandes and Fina d'Armada) as well as the relationship between BVM appartions and UFO entities.

Finally, at Women Of Esoterica, I comment a bit about Richelle Hawks Medusa's Ladder column at BOA:A Girl in Trouble is a Con/temporary Thing: Women on Mysteries and a very neat blog called Labyrinth 13: In Praise of Gothic Novels.

Thank you, and have a healthy, good week!

Slow week for me but I do have something up at Oregon L.O.W.F.I. “Lethal Removal”: Twilight Language Embedded in Industrial Animal Sacrifice about sea lion "removal" and salmon.

On Trickster's Realm this week:
In this week's Trickster Realm for Binnall of America, I wonder if Nigel Kneale, writer of the 1957 film The Abominable Snowman: was aware of the paranormal characteristics of Bigfoot/Yeti?

Saucer Sightings
Painting of a childhood memory of an entity.

New items at Mary UFO.

As always, all kinds of esoteric posts from esoteric women on Women Of Esoterica including Richelle Hawks and Chris Holly. There's a link to Richelle's Medusa's Ladder column on BOA, about synchronicity, and Holly writes about a very unusual albino family -- or, as she asks, were they?

Check out my newest blog Octopus Confessional.

Part 1 (and Part 2) of UFOs: What We Know, is up at UFO Magazine's blog, The Green Room. Be sure to read articles by Alfred Lehmberg, Lisa Shiel, and many others while you're there.
